HOPE Welcoming Office

HOPE provides the welcoming work in Lincoln County. We meet one on one with new community members and families to help them successfully integrate into our community.

New families have access to a ‘community friend/mentor’ who will help ease their transition into the community.

Office is located in the Nebraskaland National Bank. 121 N Dewey St. North Platte, Nebraska 69103

If you are working with a new community member who could benefit from our services. Please contact us.

North Platte Welcoming and Inclusive Strategic Planning Advisory Board

In 2021, HOPE conducted a six-month community needs assessment (focused on the Hispanic populations in Lincoln County). The purpose of this was to identify the top 5 needs and the barriers present to those needs for this minority group. The Hispanic population currently is and has been the largest minority group in our community for decades. It is reasonable to assume that any barriers faced by this population will be shared by new diverse community members joining our community. If we focus on these needs and barriers for the Hispanic community, it will be easier to replicate these efforts for all community members as our community diversifies.

The North Platte Welcoming and Inclusive Strategic Planning Advisory Board (NPWISP) is comprised of individuals in our community working together to further identify these needs, break down barriers, and present solutions.

Language Access/Soluations

HOPE strives to bridge gaps in services and break down barriers present in our community.

Lanuage has been identified as the primary barrier to accessibility of many basic needs in our community.

We strive to provide Limited English Proficient (LEP) people with reasonable access to the same services as English-speaking individuals in our community.

Language access is a civil right. Equal access to government services regardless of language ability is critical to a healthy and safe community.

Please contact us for language access information and assistance.
